Our project aims to identify the underlying psychological mechanisms of radicalisation. Specifically, we investigate how repeated social exclusion leads to support for inaction, normative, nonnormative and extreme collective action. Also, we investigate the role of collective relative deprivation and self-control.
The following demographic variables are included: age, gender and education.
Data will be collected through the Psychology online laboratory participant pool. In addition, we collect a convenience sample through our own social networks and social media. We will analyze the data using linear regression analysis. Bootstrapping analyses using PROCESS macro will be conducted for the moderation analyses.
