The Integrated Approach proposed in this thesis introduces students to Software Engineering (SE) methods demanded by industry and curriculum guidelines. To increase the transferability of competencies (knowledge, skill, and attitudes) gained, the generalist SEMAT Essence approach gets utilized. The Integrated Approach, deeply grounded in learning theories, integrates tools, learning games, and activities into phases, each addressing its respective learning objectives and building upon each other. The evaluation of a case study conducted with students indicates the utility of the approach.
