This thesis describes the development of novel methodologies for transition metal catalyzed syntheses of industrially relevant substances. Herein, the efficiency of innovative catalysts for hydrogen autotransfer conversions which enable molecular transformations displaying advantages over classical routes is investigated. Moreover, the thesis presents new materials for the amidocarbonylation. Finally, a new procedure for the selective synthesis of Z-alkenes via twofold utilization of palladium atoms – initially as homogeneous and subsequently as heterogeneous catalyst – is presented.
