The database contains over 1500 maize samples harvested in North-eastern Italy analyzed from 2016-2022. Data are comprehensive of an index for silage quality assessment in lab-scale conditions, field input levels, FAO class, maturity stage, use of bacterial inoculants, sealing delay, chemical traits, density and porosity, pH, fermentative profile, dry matter loss and aerobic stability. Trials have been conducted using vacuum bags and/or mini-silos buckets.
