This dataset summarized a study investigating the effects of slow-release PCB 52 in female rats. This study was designed to include 4 groups of Sprague Dawley female rats (3-5 per group): Vehicle (Corn Oil), 1mg/kg PCB 52, 10mg/kg PCB 52, 100mg/kg PCB 52. In which animals were injected with their corresponding PCB 52 exposure dose via injected intraperitoneal (IP) at 5 weeks of age and euthanized after 3 weeks. The overall hypothesis was that animals exposed to a slow release of PCB 52 at different concentrations would result in gross organ differences and homeostatic disruptions in the rats.
