This dataset provides the estimated location of vehicle trajectories sampled from LiDAR sensors at the intersection of US-89 and 600 N (latitude: 40.782395, longitude: -111.899691) in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 15:49:25 to 17:14:00 hrs. (MT) on December 30, 2022.

All four corners of the intersection were equipped with LiDAR sensors. All sensors were used to detect traversing objects. The sensor located at the north-east corner served as reference (i.e., origin of the coordinate system). The dataset (LiDAR_vehicle_trajectories.csv) contains 131,093 records and consists of the following attributes:

obj_temp_id: a tracked object identifier

epoch_time: epoch unix time

x: offset of the detected object in the x-direction in meters in relation to the reference LiDAR

y: offset of the detected object in the y-direction in meters in relation to the reference LiDAR

speed: speed of the detected object in meters/second

heading: relative direction of travel in degrees

length: length of the detected object in meters

no_of_points: number of points reflected by the detected object

This data can be used for different purposes, such as safety and performance evaluation. No samples of vehicles traveling below 10 mph are provided. The sample frequency for most identified objects is 10 Hz.
