Location: Wall site (31Or11), Orange County, North Carolina.
Period: Late Woodland (AD 1500-1600).
Dimensions: length, 15.00 ft (4.57 m) north-south; width, 15.00 ft (4.57 m) east-west.
Notes: A 15x15-ft block along Eno River at south edge of the Wall site, excavated by the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in 2016. Three 5x5-ft units (Squares 270R685, 260R690, and 265R690) are excavated to base of plowed soil; three units (Squares 260R680, 260R685, and 265R680) are excavated to the base of midden; and the central unit (Square 265R685) is excavated to top of subsoil.
