AbstractThe world is evolving at a phenomenal rate due to the growth of technology. Itis so pertinent that if you are not evolving with the technology, you will becomemoribund with time. Literature has equally evolved and adapted to thedifferent technological growth. This paper purposively selects three femaleFacebook poets (Inyang Edoho, Udeme Mbossoh, and Titilayo Adeoye) andexamines two poems from each poet. Using both the feminist theory and thereader-response theory in the analysis of the selected poems, this paperdiscovers that Facebook is a veritable platform to express one's opinion, belief, and ideas without fear of religion, society, or gender. Poetry is a high art ofliterary expression. It distinguishes the poet as a creative writer and giveshim/her the space to not only interact but also gets constructive criticism fromthe readers and serve as a muse to other creative writers. This interaction withcritics and a source of inspiration for other creative writers will act as a drivefor the poet to develop and improve on his/her creative art.
