Taking as a starting point the results obtained by the Itinerant Chair on Rural Productive Inclusion and the research carried out by the Veredas Institute (2019, 2020), it is understood that the problem of productive inclusion must be approached from a multidimensional perspective, taking into account the interdependencies between areas identified as promising for promoting inclusion, the context and particularities of the territories where the experiences of productive inclusion are located. perspective, taking into account the interdependencies between areas identified as promising for promoting inclusion and the context and particularities of the territories where the productive inclusion experiences are located. The areas focused on in this study are increasing the productivity of small rural businesses, access to markets and promoting food and nutritional security. Investigating how it is possible to generate inclusion processes based on the study of practical experiences implies observing a set of variables which have also shaped different types of inclusion. There is no one path to inclusion, with a starting point and an end point. When we talk about typologies, we are trying to get away from homogeneity and highlight diversity as a positive element in transformation processes. The relevance of typology studies for formulating or expanding policies and instruments for collective action lies in the need to show diversity as the rule in rural areas, overcoming the idea of homogeneity and backwardness that is common sense. In this way, the project seeks to develop a typology of rural productive inclusion for rural territories in the North, Northeast and South of Brazil, combining different instruments and initiatives in the social, cultural, technological, economic, political and environmental dimensions, which will enable the identification of degrees of efficiency to overcome chronic processes of social exclusion.

As áreas nas quais se foca o presente estudo são o a...
