An archaeological excavation was undertaken on a land parcel contained within a proposed development area lying south of Newcraighall, close to the large retail development of Kinnaird Park The excavation revealed the highly truncated remains of a late 18th or early 19th century stone-built structure with associated areas of cobbled yard and drainage features. The building is likely to have been a farm cottage or small agricultural building.
