A targeted archaeological trench evaluation was carried out comprising 12 trenches, totalling 295 metres, following a desk-based assessment and geophysical survey. The majority of the geophysical anomalies were attributed to variations in the geology. Linear features were exposed in two of the trenches, two associated with a former field boundary and another related to post-medieval agricultural activity.
