Between the 16th and the 31st May 2018 York Archaeological Trust conducted an evaluation comprising monitoring and logging of boreholes and trial trenches at 46-50 Piccadilly, York. This work comprises Phase 2 of site investigation, following on from Phase 1 of borehole survey undertaken between the 29th March and the 4 th April 2017. The deposits were identified as Roman, medieval, post-medieval and modern with no significant finds within these. The Phase 2 borehole programme lends further detail to, and closely supports, the results of the Phase 1 works.
