Between the 5th-14th July 2021 York Archaeological Trust conducted an archaeological evaluation at West Lund Lane, Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire (NGR SE 69575 85894). Very little was uncovered in the archaeological works, with most trenches producing a sequence of topsoil, sub-soil and natural. The only features seen were four possible furrows and an undated ditch. The only artefacts uncovered were sherds of modern pottery which were not retained. The excavations indicated that the site has low archaeological potential.
