Archaeological observation was undertaken during the ground reductions for a new training room and driving range bays on behalf of Stratford on Avon Golf Club. There was potential for archaeological remains as significant Roman archaeological findings were recorded when the course was constructed in the 1920s and 1930s. The ground reductions were deliberately kept to a minimum for a raft foundation and did not penetrate archaeological levels hence no archaeologically significant remains were disturbed and no finds were recovered.
