The watching brief comprised the observation by a competent archaeologist of all intrusive groundworks associated with the proposed development. These works comprised the machine excavation of material to form a level area on which to construct the manège. In April 2021, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief during groundworks associated with construction of an outdoor manège at Cooper's Hill Farm, Great Witcombe, Gloucestershire. No features or deposits of archaeological interest were observed. Two fragments of Roman tegula tile were recovered as residual topsoil finds.
