An archaeological evaluation was carried out on Block A of the proposed development site located along Blossom Street in Manchester. A total of five trenches were proposed, ranging in size from 3.0m x 1.8m to 5.0m x 1.8m. These revealed that the southern part of the site had been truncated during the late 18th or 19th century during the construction of basemented buildings. Additional evidence for late 18th or very early 19th century buildings was seen at the Blossom Street frontage in the form of several brick footings belonging to various residences and workshops.
