Between 6th May 2014 and 05th September 2016, Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd undertook archaeological monitoring of groundworks associated with the conversion of an agricultural building into a residential annex at Spring Farm, Withybrook Lane, Hopsford, Warwickshire. This work was undertaken as a condition of planning consent in order to provide information on its archaeological potential. The groundworks included test pits for underpinning and removal of existing concrete floors. Below those modern floors previous brick floors and the remains of a cobble surface which were recorded. No earlier archaeological remains or finds were revealed.
