Headland Archaeology (UK) Ltd undertook a geophysical (magnetometer) survey of a 6-hectare site at Southburn, near Driffied, East Yorkshire where a new pig unit is proposed. Anomalies due to field drains, geological variation and tipping/infilling around an existing structure have been identified. No anomalies of likely archaeological origin have been identified by the survey. The site is therefore assessed as having very low archaeological potential.
