Evaluation of 8 trenches, opened by machine and cleaned by trowel. Features half sectioned, recorded and photographed. The outer ditches of two small roundhouses were recorded, with internal features such as pits and postholes. Additional ditches correspond with linear and curvilinear enclosure boundaries, thought to form part of a rectilinear field system, probably broadly contemporary to the roundhouse settlement. Some enclosure boundaries may be later in date. The only secure dating evidence came from sherds of Iron Age South Western Plain Ware recovered from one of the postholes inside one of the roundhouses. The features were part of a much larger settlement, as identified by geophysical survey, with only a small area evaluated.
