November and December 2007. Oxford Archaeology carried out an historic building recording action and an archaeological watching brief at Bulstrode Park, Gerrards Cross. The watching brief revealed that the staff cottage originally formed the eastern end of a much larger structure. Evidence for the continued development of the workshops and an outside toilet were observed during the excavation of the foundations for the northern block of the new dwellings. No evidence for any phases of the construction of the house earlier that the 19th century; or for any other significant archaeology was encountered.
