A detailed gradiometry survey was conducted over approximately 16.7 hectares of grassland. The survey has identified a former area of settlement as well as anomalies relating to the area's agricultural past. This includes ridge and furrow, a former field boundary and former farm buildings referred to in the DBA. A number of possible archaeological anomalies have also been identified; however it is not possible to determine their origin with any degree of confidence. The remaining anomalies are of geological or modern origin, relating to agricultural activity, scattered magnetic debris, ferrous objects and fencing.
