Early in 2006, Archaeological Services and Consultancy undertook a programme of monitoring and recording at 91-92 Akeman Street, formally known as Harrow Yard, Tring, Hertfordshire. The work was undertaken on behalf of Try Homes in order to fulfil a planning condition on an area which lies within the historic core of the town. Apart from some 20th century pits and an undated foundation trench the area was devoid of pre-modern activity. Much this can be ascribed to the impact of developments during the second half of the 20th century.
