In September 2016 KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook a programme of Observation and Recording of the excavation for a new pump/tank chamber at the A and V Buildings, GlaxoSmithKline, Priory Street, Ware, Hertfordshire. The lower part of a pottery vessel dating from the mid 1st -late 2nd century was discovered unstratifed within the natural peaty clay and next to a gravel deposit. It is not thought to have been a deliberate deposit rather that it made its way to the place of discovery by natural means during particularly wet periods.
