This collection comprises audio-visual data from interviews undertaken by the 'Defying Convention: Devising New Approaches to Heritage Values in Valletta, Malta' project. The project explored heritage value and significance derived from, or associated, with the city of Valletta, these residents and other stakeholders. Fieldwork and data collection was conducted between January 2021 and February 2022. Participants were selected on the basis of their residential relationship with Valletta and the methodology adopted was designed as a series of participant-led walks around the city. These walks were created by the interviewees, who were asked to select a starting and ending point for the walk, and to think about places in between that mattered to them.
