This report presents the results of an archaeological evaluation that was carried out by South West Archaeology Ltd. (SWARCH) for a residential development at Land at Ennor Farm, St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly. The work was carried out in accordance with a Written Scheme of Investigation (Boyd 2022) that was drawn up in consultation with the Historic Environment and Planning Advice Officer (HEPAO) at Cornwall Council. A total of six 1m wide by 120m long (total) trenches were excavated by machine using a toothless grading bucket and under archaeological supervision. The stratigraphy of the site was comprised of: white-grey gritty clay natural (103/202/302/402/502/604); and orange-brown and black-brown mottled gritty clay natural with degraded granite (205/303/504). The results of the archaeological monitoring and recording indicated that there were no archaeological deposits present and no archaeological features were identified.
