Planning permission was granted for the redevelopment of an existing vacant commercial site, including the re-provision of a vehicle repair/MOT workshop, recycling and food waste sorting building and bulky waste storage facility in 3 new buildings, with ancillary facilities including upgrade of external areas and parking provision at The Depot, Pembroke Road, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Albion Archaeology was commissioned to undertake the initial stage of site evaluation, comprising a programme of archaeological trial trenching. The trial trenching revealed no archaeological remains or artefacts predating the modern period. Modern remains revealed appear to correspond to an industrial estate that had been demolished prior to the commencement of the archaeological evaluation.
