In June 2009, Albion Archaeology was commissioned to carry out an evaluation. The results of the intrusive trial trenching demonstrate that there are no significant archaeological remains within the footprint of the proposed dwelling. However, the results of the non-intrusive geophysical survey show potential for archaeological remains to survive elsewhere.
