Topsoil stripping of the development area, and the mechanical excavation of trial holes and pits to accommodate several new installations, were monitored. Initially, a permanent-presence was maintained during topsoil stripping of the development area and also during excavation of the proposed route of the access track. However; it became evident that the material below the topsoil was made ground. A trial hole revealed this to be around one metre deep, and therefore archaeological monitoring was temporarily stood down. Permanent-presence monitoring resumed during mechanical excavation of the Roughing Filter and the Storm Tank. The Storm Tank was not monitored beyond the trial pit. This work identified an undated possible furrow, buried topsoil and layers of made ground. The majority of finds were modern, observed in made ground and therefore they were not retained.
