An archaeological evaluation was carried out by CFA Archaeology on Eastside Park, Chesterfield, Derbyshire during March 2018. Seven trenches were excavated across the proposed site of a new development in order to evaluate any surviving remains that were highlighted the heritage statement. There were no intact archaeological remains, only a possible backfilled clay-extraction pit and the remains of a single brick built wall.
