Report on Archaeological Evaluation and subsequent Watching Brief at The Ship Inn, Camp Road, Oldbury-on-Severn, South Gloucestershire, following a DBA of the area and preceding the conversion of the property into three eco-houses. The northern half of the site sits within Oldbury Camp, overlying the supposed south-western defensive circuit. However, no prehistoric features were seen and only four sherds of residual late Iron Age/Early Romano-British pottery, contemporary with the hillfort, were found. Trench 3, a section to the rear of the bank retaining wall, revealed modern dump deposits. Several modern features and one post-medieval feature were seen. Residual pottery dated from the 12th to 20th centuries.
