This report sets out the results of an Archaeological Strip and Record that was carried out on the 13th March 2014 as well as the 17th April 2014 during groundworks undertaken for the construction of an agricultural building for the housing of pigs at Givendale Head Farm, Malton Cote Road, Ebberston, Scarborough, North Yorkshire (Planning Application 13/01049/MFUL; SE 89432 81588). The installation of the two wind turbine bases involved the preliminary topsoil strip of the area of the agricultural building using a 360O tracked excavator operating under close archaeological supervision. Machining ceased at the top of archaeological or naturally-formed deposits, depending upon which was located soonest. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered during the Archaeological Strip and Record.
