This report sets out the results of an Archaeological Watching Brief that was carried out in January 2012, during the groundwork's associated with the erection of an extension and the alteration of the property at The Old Manor, Main Street, Bilbrough, North Yorkshire. The Watching Brief was undertaken to fulfil an archaeological condition attached to the Planning Application Consent (Ref: 2010/0230/LBC). All the groundwork's associated with the extension and alterations of the property at The Old Manor House, Bilbrough were undertaken under archaeological supervision. All excavations were undertaken using a back acting mechanical excavator under close archaeological supervision. No archaeological features, deposits or finds were encountered during the Archaeological Watching Brief.
