The archaeological monitoring involved the observation of all intrusive groundworks associated with the proposed development. These works comprised the machine excavation of the topsoil and levelling of the subsoil/ natural layers with c.0.5m of material being removed. The monitoring area was smaller than that presented as the red line plan due to a bund being placed around the car park. No deposits were identified that required sampling. In August 2022, Cotswold Archaeology carried out an archaeological monitoring during groundworks associated with the development of a new parking area at Poundfield Products Ltd, Creeting St. Peter, Suffolk. One feature, a large ditch was record which had also been uncovered during the evaluation phase. A large modern disturbance was recorded truncating this ditch at the southern edge of the site. The only find recovered from the ditch was an iron horseshoe of 16th - 18th century date.
