Due to construction work in the "Grepen" city block, Borg parish, Norrköping municipality, the Swedish National Heritage Board's Contract Archaeology Service, UV Öst, performed an archaeological assessment (phase 2) and a field evaluation in July 2003. Search trenches were dug in two parts of the block. In the northern and the most low lying parts of the area no ancient monuments were found. In the south-east part of the block a probable Iron Age settlement was discovered. In November 2003 another field evaluation was performed in the south end of the block, due to new development plans. Only a few features, damaged by ploughing, were discovered.

The information in the purpose is translated from the archaeological report:
The purpose of the field evaluation was to determine the type, intensity and extent of archaeological remains adjacent to previously registered remains. The aim was also to document and, if possible, date the features and artefacts, and to point out areas with no archaeological remains. The purpose of the desk-based assessment was to determine whether there were any archaeological remains within the development area. The purpose of the field evaluation of November 2003 was to determine whether the new development area contained any archaeological remains.
