Energy Information Administration. US Crude Oil Production: US Crude Oil Production, 01/1920 - 01/2015. Data-Planet™ Statistical Datasets by Conquest Systems, Inc. Dataset-ID: 004-002-001
Dataset: Reports the annual volume of crude oil produced from oil reservoirs in thousands of barrels for the United States, by Petroleum Administration for Defense (PAD) district and state. PAD districts are geographic aggregations of the 50 states and Washington, DC, into five districts by the Petroleum Administration for Defense in 1950. These districts were originally defined during World War II for purposes of administering oil allocation. The amount of crude oil production for a given period is measured as volumes delivered from lease storage tanks (ie, the point of custody transfer) to pipelines, trucks, or other media for transport to refineries or terminals with adjustments for (1) net differences between opening and closing lease inventories, and (2) basic sediment and water.
Reports the volume of crude oil produced from oil reservoirs in the United States during given periods of time. The amount of such production for a given period is measured as volumes delivered from lease storage tanks (ie, the point of custody transfer) to pipelines, trucks, or other media for transport to refineries or terminals with adjustments for (1) net differences between opening and closing lease inventories, and (2) basic sediment and water (BS&W). Crude oil production is reported in barrels (equal to 42 US gallons) by PAD District and state.
