This case is used to simulate the wall pressure fluctuations from the turbulent flow. Pulsating motion of the recirculation bubble that forms at the step causes high energy and low-frequency pressure oscillations, characterized by a frequency of around 7.5Hz-15Hz. Video shows the results of the simulation of the incompressible flow over the forward-facing step with the use of the Launder, Reece and Rodi (LRR) model.
