In LNCaP incubation with goserelin induced the expression of c-fos more than irradiation alone. In PC-3 the expression of c-fos was not changed. Phosphorylated p38 was induced by goserelin incubation and irradiation in LNCaP. In PC-3, there was a higher expression of this protein after incubation with goserelin than after irradiation alone. Phosphorylated ERK1/2 was induced after goserelin incubation and irradiation in LNCaP, but not in PC-3. These results show, that the incubation with goserelin was functionally active in the tested cell systems.
