Women have played a long and important role in engineering. In the UK, the Women's Engineering Society was founded in 1919, but even before then there are examples of women working in engineering roles. The third video in our series examining the key themes in the history of women in engineering looks at the innovation and inventiveness of women engineers. Produced by Research Retold for the Electrifying Women project (University of Leeds). Presented by Dr Emily Rees (University of Leeds). Script written by Emily Rees and Graeme Gooday.
