We are proposing to install a temporary network of ~25 seismic stations in the source area of the 1886 Charleston, South Carolina earthquake. The proposed deployment duration would be for 2 years. The objective is to record local microseismicity and get well-constrained 3D locations and focal mechanisms. These results will be used to test the relationship between modern microseismicity and proposed fault models for the M~7 1886 earthquake.
