The experiment at Serra La Nave at Etna volcano used a fiber-optic cable installed in a 200 m depth borehole. From 2022 Decemeber 13th to 2023 April 18th a Silixa Carina interrogator unit was connected to the fiber cable.
The first part of the cable (about 120 m length) is deployed in a trench at about 30 cm depth (A labelled channels ) connecting the Serra La Nave Observatory edifice to the borehole. The second part of the cable is installed behind casing in a vertical borehole (B labelled channels).
Data were acquired at a sampling frequency of 1000 Hz, with a gauge length of 2 m and a spatial sampling of 1 m. The data recorded in the framework of the "Global DAS Month" initiative are available on PubDAS at 100 Hz.
