The Fernandina: Rapid Investigation of Geophyscial Activity during Tumescence and Eruption (FRIGATE) experiment was designed to monitor seismic activity associated with magmatic unrest at Fernandina volcano, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. In late 2022, it was apparent that Fernandina was likely approaching a new eruption, and rates os seismicty were erupting. The 7-station experiment captured seismic broadband data during 12 months of pre-eruptive inflation (the eruption started in early March 2024, after the main deployment had been recovered. The deployment configuration included a five-station narrow aperture array, located on the northen flank of the volcano.
