Dr. Munir holds a Ph.D. in Education with a concentration in Human Rights Education. He is an Assistant Professor of Education at SMI University, and a founding Volunteer Director of Global Forum for Teacher Educators, where he promotes complementary human rights-centered education to children and women of disadvantaged communities along with adults of all ages and varied demographics.
Dr. Munir holds an esteemed international standing. He is the recipient of the Presidency of Turks and Related Communities (YTB) Research Fellowship, Lagos African Cluster Centre (ACC) Visiting Research Remote Fellowship, Remote Fellowship International Rescue Committee, and the Commonwealth UK, Distance Education Scholarship.
He is a published author of a few research papers, three International research projects, and three open e-books. He has delivered guest lectures at global institutes (face-to-face and online) including the School of Education, UC Berkeley, Adult School Berkeley, and Leuphana University of Lüneburg, Germany.
He pioneered a course on human rights education for teachers in his home country; proposed Munir's permeable digital networking model (Sadruddin, 2019); Munir's digital taxonomy of learning (Sadruddin, 2019); Munir’ model of teachers identity exploration (Sadruddin, 2020), Munir's model of sustainable education during uncertain time (Sadruddin, 2021), ESteam Education- A Replacement of STEM and STEAM education (Sadruddin, 2021), Munir's convergent model of reality (Sadruddin, 2021), Munir and Nuket bud, petals, and thorns model of inclusivity (August 2021), Munir's socio-ethrical model of inclusivity (August 2021) [proposed in Turkish Presidency Report, 2021], and coined the term Ethrical thinking.
His areas of interest include human rights education, disability studies, gender studies, elderly literacy, social work, peace studies, multiculturalism, education for justice, education in the conflicted areas, education of adult, education of disabled people, human identity, global education policies, digital literacy, open educational resources, low-cost technology, and global issues about human rights.
