PhD by the Medical school of the Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil (2023). Bachelor of Arts (1996) and master’s degree in Linguistics (2000) from the University of São Paulo. Experience in Linguistic Theory and Analysis, with research focused on the Semantic Syntax Interface - grammatical theory, generative theory, Portuguese syntax, and adjectives. Later I decided to change the area of knowledge to the health care area, obtaining a master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Tennessee (2006). I Worked as a clinical nurse at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore MD in the MICU, as nursing instructor at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore MD and nursing faculty at Howard University in Washington DC. I also became a Reiki therapist at the George Washington Center of Integrative Medicine. In 2017, I entered into the PhD program at the College of Medicine of Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), where I conduct research in the areas of Health Promotion, Violence Prevention and Complementary and Integrative Medicine. In the years of 2018 and 2019 I did work as Coordinator of Complementary and Integrative Medicine Public Policy in the Health Bureau of the State of Minas Gerais (PEPIC-MG). From 2019-2021, I was in the board of the Brazilian Academic Consortium for Integrative Health as a director. In 2021 I founded the Community of Complementary and Integrative Medicine (PICS in Brazil) at IdeiaSUS/Fiocruz where I developed a method for "curadoria" in health care experiencie report. Now I provide services to VHL/PAHO/WHO (BVS/BIREME/OPAS/OMS).
