Spyridon Siafis is a clinical researcher and epidemiologist in evidence-based medicine, psychiatry, and psychopharmacology. He obtained his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), his master's degree in Epidemiology from the Hellenic Open University, and his doctorate (Dr. med.) from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Since 2018, he has been working full-time in research at the Section of Evidence-Based Medicine in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at TUM.
His scientific methods focus on evidence-based medicine, including systematic reviews, meta-analyses, shared decision-making, and clinical trials. The areas of his research expand to translational research, drug safety, and pharmacoepidemiology of neuropsychotropic drugs. He is currently working on projects involving sophisticated meta-analytic methods and the synthesis and triangulation of evidence from multiple streams (e.g., clinical and preclinical research examining new medications for psychosis).
