Philip Joisten studied industrial engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He specialized on ergonomics, technology and innovation management. From May 2018 until February 2024 he was a PhD candidate at the Institute of Human Factors and Ergonomics (IAD) and is part of the Human-Machine-Interaction & Mobility research group. In the research project @City he studied the interaction between automated vehicles and other traffic participants.
