Janete Saldanha Bach Estevão is a Researcher at GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences in the Knowledge Technologies (KTS) Department, team FAIR Data, working on the KonsortSWD Project. She holds a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Technology and Society interactions from the Technological Federal University of Paraná and a bachelor's degree in Library Science from the Federal University of Paraná. Her research expertise is in expertise is in Open Science, especially in research data management and data reuse in the Social Sciences. She was the first Brazilian selected for The Jay Jordan IFLA/OCLC Early Career Development Fellowship Program in the USA. She worked ten years at the Federal University of Paraná, one of Brazil's top 10 most important Universities. She contributed to the UFPR's research data repository (BDC-UFPR) development and implementation, the country's first university research data repository among the national education system. She also has ten years of experience in private companies, such as Boticario Group, HSBC, Renault, and Nissan automobiles. She is certified by CompTIA as CDIA + and has executed several digitizing projects. She has been an International Society for Advanced Science and Technology member since 2013, a member of the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Materials since 2015. She is an invitee member of the SALALM Award for Institutional Collaborative Initiatives evaluation committee. She also has been a Research Data Alliance member since 2019, working in the Social Science Research Data and Libraries for Research Data Interest Groups. She advocates for personal data privacy and protection within academia and is certified as Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals.
