I'm a Brazilian biologist with a PhD in Zoology. I have focus in ichthyology, with an emphasis on natural history (including ethnoecology and recreational and artisanal fisheries). From my graduation, between 1997 and 2000, to the present I have been working in research, extension and conservation actions involving freshwater and marine ecosystem in different regions of Brazil and other countries. I have a history of leadership, collaboration and funding of projects supported by non-governmental organizations, privative companies and government funding agencies. From 2014 to the present I have been dedicating myself to the production of content and carrying out educational actions in the context of two brands that are under my responsibility: the ROBALO Project (facebook.com/prorobalo; @prorobalo), started in 2014, and the PEIXES DO LAGAMAR Project (facebook.com/peixesdolagamar), started in 2016. I'm a professor and the coordinator of the "Laboratório de Ictiologia e Conservação de Peixes Neotropicais" at a campus from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) in Registro, southeastern Brazil.
