Dr. Liana O. Anderson is a biologist, with a DPhil in Geography and the Environment from Oxford University (2006-2011) and a Postdoc from the Environmental Change Institute (ECI) at the University of Oxford (2011-2014). She is a researcher at the National Center for Monitoring and Early Warning of Natural Disasters (CEMADEN) in Brazil and an Associate Researcher in Land Cover Dynamics and Carbon Emissions at ECI at Oxford University. In addition, Liana is a Collaborator Professor of the MSc course in Ecology and Natural Resources Management at the Federal University of Acre (Brazil) and at the Remote Sensing Division at INPE (Brazil). Liana is a member of the Tropical Ecosystems and Environmental Science Group (TREES) at INPE and the Ecosystems Group at ECI, Oxford, and is also part of the RAINFOR and GEM networks.
