Main aim of my research is and not limited to assessing and evaluating the algal species diversity. To accomplish that I bring with me my knowledge of genetics, evolution and microscopy. I use the integration of microscopy and molecular tools to interpret shifts and changes in diversity as a result of climate change or anthropogenic activity.
My profound knowledge and background of using different molecular omics approach helps me work with different group of people to give better result to the scientific community.
Algae or phytoplankton are vital component of marine life, as they produce half of the world's oxygen and are food for most marine organisms.
Few of these species produce toxin which can have negative impact of human health and the aquaculture business.
