ANA RAQUEL CUNHA is a Landscape Architect. Graduated in 2010 by Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) of Universidade de Lisboa, in 2014 obtained the Master's degree by the same institute. Presently is a PhD student, of the Doctoral Program in Landscape Architecture and Urban Ecology (LINK), with a FCT scholarship (DFA/BD/4824/2020).
In 2014 joined to the - LX GARDENS - Lisbon's Historic Gardens and Parks: Study and Landscape Heritage Inventory (PTDC / EAT-EAT / 110826/2009) team project coordinated by Prof. Ana Luísa Soares, as FCT (Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia) Research Fellow, collaborating in the historical research and the tree inventory of the gardens and parks in study. In 2015 was Landscape Architect Trainee at AAJBA (Associação dos Amigos do Jardim Botânico da Ajuda), where performed tasks such as technical support of landscape architecture in the restoration and conservation works of the Jardim Botânico da Ajuda, financed by AAJBA. During three years (2017-2020), Ana Raquel was Research Fellow at the ISA Herbarium, on the National Research Infrastructure "PORBIOTA Portuguese E-Infrastructure for Information and Research on Biodiversity" (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-022127), mobilising the biological collections of the institute [Herbarium João de Carvalho e Vasconcellos Collection; Living Collection of Botanical Park of Ajuda (PBTA); PORVID vaseclone Collection; and ISA Bacteria Collection (CBISA)] under the direction of Professor Pedro Arsénio (Herbarium Curator) and Dr. Rui Figueira (GBIF Portuguese Node Manager).
Since 2016 writes periodically, in collaboration with Prof. Ana Luísa Soares, for Revista Jardins and for Revista Bica, about botanical species. And is co-author of several works of scientific dissemination, reports, technical books/manuals, articles presented in meetings and datasets, as the: report "Current Flora Status of the Convent of Capuchos Convent and surrounding climactic vegetation (2016); the Characterization of the Plants of the Tapada da Ajuda, (Sheets 1 to 150) and the page dedicated to the botanical collection http://www.isa.ulisboa.pt/pbta/colecao-botanica (2020); the manuals Digitization of João de Carvalho e Vasconcellos Herbarium (2020) and LISI Herbarium Digitization Workflow (2021); and the João Carvalho e Vasconcellos Herbarium Herbarium João de Carvalho e Vasconcellos (2021).
